San Jose Guadalupe River Trail Walk
This is a great trail within the 250 acre Guadalupe River Park including a walking tour of San Jose’s pedestrian and bike-friendly downtown, parks and trails. Yves Zsutty, Trail Manager guided attendees to points of interest and shared history and insights along the way. The 2-1/2 mile walking tour was conducted at a leisurely pace and included opportunities to discuss points of interest and explore each site. Highlights of the tour include the Richard Meyer-designed City Hall building and its rotunda, Plaza de Cesar Chavez – site of California’s first state capitol building, portions of the 250-acre Guadalupe River Park and trail system, and St James Park Historic District with many 19th century structures framing the green space. Yves Zsutty manages the City’s award-winning Trail Program, was born and raised in San Jose, and has been a resident of Downtown San Jose for 20 years with knowledge of the City’s history and current developments. Thank you, Yves for taking time to share this amazing adventure with us!
