WELCOME!
If you joined us for ICTH 2021 - Virtual, you experienced a casual conference with a full scientific programme and a creative music playlist pulled together by the presenting abstract authors. The sessions were innovative, informative and inspired great dialogue. Plus, ALL of the sessions were video recorded (music included) using Zoom and made available to registered delegates only hours after being hosted.
ICTH will once again push the boundaries with a fresh perspective. The theme for 2022 will focus on the global infrastructure and how transport impacts the upstream Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). AND...ICTH is OFFICIALLY the annual meeting of the International Professional Association for Transport & Health (IPATH). Join IPATH and receive a 25% discount off your ICTH registration fee.
Ah, but wait. This is ICTH, so it can't really be that straight forward. Can it?
NOPE.
As you all know, we are entering year three of a global pandemic. Daily life has been altered by governmental policies with regard to travel and accessibility restrictions, which prevents ICTH from hosting a large in-person community event. With that said, we have come up with a creative twist to tackle this challenge; selected in-person transit stop meetings.
ICTH 2022 will be held as a hybrid event. This may not seem out of the ordinary with the same multi-sector/cross disciplinary team presentations, however, session teams will be made up of oral, pecha kucha and poster presenters at specific in-person ‘transit site’ meeting locations in Montreal, Canada; Cardiff, Wales; and Denver, Colorado. These transit stops will complement a virtual meeting component. The in-person meetings will be two days. Each transit stop host will coordinate, keynotes, hot topic workshops, scientific and practice abstract sessions (in-person and virtual) and social events. These dynamic in-person meetings are complemented by a virtual component. All sessions will be recorded. In-person abstract sessions may also include virtual presentations depending on the availability of the authors.

Conference Summary
The International Conference on Transport & Health aims to provide valuable insights into the health impacts of transport and urban planning, governance, strategic management, policy-making, performance metric tools and the potential return on investment of a dynamic system. Join us to learn HOW the most innovative minds in academia, practice and policy are bridging the gap between scientific investigation and real-world application.
Policy-makers, practitioners and academics from multiple disciplines and professional sectors involved in transport planning and engineering, public health, urban planning, spatial and architectural design, environmental planning, economics and beyond will meet to share their stories of success and failure; build world-wide collaborative friendships; but most importantly, leave inspired!
ICTH is the only conference in a world-wide market fully dedicated to transport systems and health impacts. Hot Topic Sessions and abstract presentations (oral, pecha kucha and poster) will be led by cross-disciplinary and multi-sector teams to demonstrate “how” non-traditional and innovative thinking can lead to creative problem solving.
ICTH is not just a conference, it's people coming together to facilitate change.
